Rolling Show
This 1947 GMC COE and custom 1960 Corvette is owned by Bob Taylor owner of Bob Taylor's Classic Auto of Bloomington,IL and is definitely "Double Trouble" for the competition. The 1947 GMC sports a unique leather interior and a hand built bed. The 1960 Corvette features an awesome Viper yellow paint job and a beautifully stitched interior that features custom embroidery applied to the top of the seats. The Corvette rides on a 1996 Vette platform complete with IRS and some mammoth brakes for both show and slow conditions. We manufactured a radiator cover/shroud, inner fender panels, custom air breather, firewall, and wire separators in the engine compartment of the Vette. We also custom made the door and trunk "shark fins" inserts, a/c vent panels, column piece and misc. dash pieces, a tail pipe hanger and exhaust outlet plates. We fabricated many pieces for the 1947 GMC also. Custom wheel centers,(engraved by Unlimited Creations, Pontiac,IL), wheel housing splash pans, door holders, garnish moulding covers, step plates, kick panel, and the triangulated mirror mounts to name a few.
At Super Chevy in Indy this duo took home a "Editors Choice Award" and "Best Modified Corvette" of the entire show. This awesome duo was featured in Super Chevy Magazine and Chevy High Performance magazines. The duo was also featured on an edition of "Mother's Car Show" broadcasted by ESPN2 TV in which Bob was interviewed by none other than "Big Daddy" Don Garlits.
